A Spanyol rapszódiában (1907-08), egy részegítő spanyol éjszakából megmaradt látomásokat, hangulatokat, idéz fel (Prélude a la nuit). A további három tétel különböző helyi táncformákat idéz (Malaguena, Habanera, Feria).

Manuel de Falla: Tűztánc, a Martinez Sierra szövegkönyvére írott, “A bűvös szerelem” című táncjáték része. De Falla zenéjéből sugárzik a spanyol temperamentum, az ibériai (főként andalúz) hangulat, mégsem használta fel a spanyol népzene elemeit. Valamennyi kompozíciója saját leleményű dallam. Aki még nem ismeri ezeket a műveket, annak lesz egy újabb kedvenc zeneszerzője.
