A Gödöllői Szimfonikus Zenekar november 24-i koncertjén ismét két kiváló vendégművészt hallhat majd a közönség: Baráti Kristóf Liszt-díjas hegedűművészt és Várdai István Junior Prima-díjas gordonkaművészt nemcsak hangszerük nemzetközileg elismert virtuózaként, hanem karmesterként is megismerhetjük. A Gödöllői Szimfonikus Zenekar élén, egymás előadását vezényli a két nagyszerű muzsikus. Baráti Kristóf és Várdai István a Zeneakadémia különleges tehetségek osztályának növendékei voltak.

Baráti Kristóf 1979-ben született Budapesten, gyermekkora nagy részét Venezuelában töltötte. Zenei tanulmányait édesanyjával kezdte, majd Caracasban, Emil Friedman professzor irányításával folytatta. Tizenkét éves korában nyert felvételt a Budapesti Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem előkészítő tagozatára, ahol Tátrai Vilmos és Szenthelyi Miklós voltak a mesterei, majd 1996-tól Eduard Wulfson professzor, a Stradivarius Társaság igazgatója. Az ő jóvoltukból egy 1703-as Stradivari mesterhegedűn játszik. Rendszeresen fellép a világ nagy koncerttermeibe. Sikerrel szerepelt számos nemzetközi versenyen, többek között 2010-
ben Moszkvában megnyerte a VI. Paganini Nemzetközi Hegedűversenyt, amit a hegedűművészek Oscar-díjaként tartanak számon. 2011-ben Liszt-díjat vehetett át.

Várdai István 1985-ben született Pécsett. 1997-ben felvételt nyert a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem kivételes tehetségek osztályába, majd a bécsi Zeneakadémián folytatta tanulmányait. Jelenleg a Kronbergi Zeneakadémián tanul. Bemutatkozó szólókoncertjét Hágában, Hollandiában adta 1998-ban, amit olyan jelentős állomások követtek, mint London, Firenze, Kobe, Frankfurt, Moszkva és München. 2010-ben fellépett például a bécsi Konzerthausban, a New York-i Carnegie Hallban, szólistaként közreműködött a Pécs 2010 Európa Kulturális Fővárosa program nyitóhangversenyén, a pécsi Kodály Központ hivatalos nyitó koncertjén. Tehetségét többször jutalmazták nemzetközi megmérettetéseken, többek között háromszor nyerte meg a David Popper Nemzetközi Zenei Versenyt. 2009-ben Junior Prima díjat vehetett át, idén pedig elnyerte a PRIX Montblanc díjat.
