Ismét óriási érdeklődés kísérte a Gödöllői Szimfonikus Zenekar hagyományos újévi koncertjét, amit ez alkalommal két estén, január 12-én és 13-án hallhatott a közönség.

A hangversenyt ezúttal a Kastély lovardájában rendezték meg; a zenekar vendége ez alkalommal a Talamba Ütőegyüttes Gödöllő volt. Mindkét estén zsúfolásig telt nézőtér előtt léptek színpadra a kiváló gödöllői muzsikusok, akik ez alkalommal Johann Strauss, Hans Christian Lumbye, Aram Iljics Hacsaturján, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Szitha Miklós –Talamba, Paul Simon, Astor Piazzola és Leroy Andrerson műveit szólaltatták meg Horváth Gáborkarnagy vezetésével. Felcsendültek többek között a Denevér, a Terefere polka és a Törökinduló dallamai. A sikert jól mutatja, hogy a közönség mindkét koncerten hosszas ráadást követelt. 

A Gödöllői Szimfonikus Zenekart legközelebb február 16-án hallhatja a közönség a bérletes koncertsorozat harmadik előadásán. Az est szólistája Langer Ágnes lesz. Ez a koncert is bővelkedik majd népszerű dallamokban, többek között Smetana Moldva című műve, és Csajkovszkij Rómeó és Júlia nyitányfantáziája is megszólal majd.
