A mennyek kapujában egy lelki keresztút, melynek tétje, hogy eljutunk-e önmagunk feláldozásához és merjük-e vállalni a szenvedés általi megtisztulást. Amikor magunkra maradunk és nincs más kapaszkodó, csak a hit ereje, merünk-e igazán erősek lenni és odaadni magunkat egy számunkra megfoghatatlan világnak. Az élet és halál közti lét küzdelmeit mutatja be a mű, emberi érzéseket, a magányt, a kiüresedést, a boldogság keresését. A darab legfőbb üzenete, hogy ha a sok nehézségben is az igaz utat járjuk, az ima és a megbocsátás erejével eljuthatunk az ’örök fényességbe’.

 

A több tételes alkotás egy zenei fohász. A teljes mű leginkább az oratórikus műfajhoz áll közel, de keverednek benne klasszikus és könnyűzenei részek is.
